I use CBT, and Transactional Analysis (TA) models in my practice. I work with you to help you understand the meanings and reasons behind your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

What I do: I specialise in working with:

- Anxiety
- Depression
- Addiction
- Menopause
- Insomnia

My approach: I use CBT, and Transactional Analysis (TA) models in my practice. I work with you to help you understand the meanings and reasons behind your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

How it works: CBT is a talking therapy. It’s been proven to help treat a wide range of emotional and physical health conditions in adults, young people and children. CBT looks at how we think about a situation and how this affects the way we act. In turn, our actions can affect how we think and feel. The therapist and client work together in changing the client’s behaviours or thinking patterns, or both of these.

How it may help: Counselling isn’t scary. It’s about treating the mind. You’d see a healthcare professional if you were in physical pain. Counselling is coming to see a professional for emotional pain.

A bit about me: I became a counsellor after I received group therapy for my weight issues and was inspired to help others. I love to walk my dog in our local parks – I find this very mindful.
